Laptops were made so that people can carry their computers anywhere they go. It’s similar to a normal desktop personal computer. One of them is its lack of 3g connection which is already installed in some tablets. You can still access the internet through a Wi-Fi connection or a broadband connection but the speed depends on your location. What makes a tablet so interesting is its newness to the market. A tablet is a technology innovation having a 3g capacity, but has additional specifications to resemble a computer. It is lighter than a laptop. Most tablets are shaped like a book, making it perfect for reading e-books. It comes in a slate form. The screen may measure up to fourteen inches. The overall look of most tablets can be described as sleek and compact. It does not have a physical keyboard which only means it is just a screen. Like a laptop, tablets have an operating system. This is why it can perform basic computing services like browsing the internet, taking pictures, e-mails, and more. However, tablets use touch screen as the primary input device. The virtual keyboard is used when typing. This may cause a little difficulty at first because of the small buttons. Although it would be easier to type once you get the hang of it. Good thing about being a touch screen device is you get to enjoy scrolling and zooming objects directly on the screen which you can’t normally do on a laptop. There is also a special pen used for easier navigation. Your handwriting will be the input. However, tablets do not have an optical drive making its memory capacity lower than a normal laptop. You can opt to buy an external drive for a larger capacity. Other than that, some people still prefer using their laptops instead of tablets because of it is not capable of multi-tasking.

Companies like Microsoft, Apple, Samsung and others have produced their respective tablets and are thoroughly used worldwide today. Two of the most popular tablets are the Galaxy Tab from Samsung and the iPad 2 from Apple.
